Sharon Head, RN has served as our Parish Nurse since 2004. Sharon spends much of her time listening to personal health stories and counseling individuals and family members on treatments, referrals, and options for supportive care. Many of the issues she is asked about concern diet and exercise, members wondering about a new medication that a doctor has prescribed, care for aging seniors, and supporting those with long term chronic health diseases. She can also help with explaining medical test results. Many families contact her asking about advance health directives – also known as a living will. We all need to make decisions about what actions should be taken if we are no longer able to make decisions ourselves, and Sharon is there to help unravel the legal issues surrounding illness or incapacity.
We are fortunate to have a Parish Nurse who is available to members facing everyday struggles. Sharon considers Parish Nursing a calling. As she explains, ““It is when the heart of a person is aching and someone comes along side to let them know they are not alone. So many of us are so very private yet when we can come together and share our joys, our sorrows, our worries and concerns we open ourselves to the healing process. When we reach out and pray together our hearts are lifted, our spirits are strengthened, and our minds are comforted.”

Men’s Ministry is a faith building fellowship held monthly. We start at 6:00 p.m. with time for fellowship and enjoy beverages and snacks. It is a great opportunity for light or deeper conversations. Dinner is provided and someone leads a Bible study. We conclude with prayer.
We seek to be purpose not event-driven, and relationship-based rather than task-oriented. Our objectives are:
We invite members, family, and friends of Trinity to come and share in our fellowship and faith building.
The main responsibility of Altar Guild members is to prepare the worship space for Sunday services. We make sure the paraments are the right color for the season and we prepare for communion, baptisms and memorial services. We also help decorate for Advent, Christmas, Palm Sunday and Easter.
The main focus of the Hospitality Committee is to host gatherings which encourage fellowship by getting to know one another through shared meals and refreshments. We gather together to celebrate, to honor people, to be educated by speakers, to worship, and to enjoy the seasons and the holidays. Our other ongoing ministry is to provide the members of our congregation with support during their times of grief by helping with memorial receptions.
In our efforts to make each meal special and varied, we try to celebrate each season and special event.
