3) Church Music Director Job Description Provide music for all regular and special worship services direct and conduct choir members at rehearsals and performance of religious music; Coordinate with the senior minister and musicians in order to select appropriate religious music to be performed for church services; Utilize knowledge of conducting techniques and music theory to direct choir to achieve planned and designed effect of choir performance; Coach each choir member to help develop vocal musical skills; Meet with soloists and other musicians to discuss and prepare for performances; Audition and select choir members; Consider ensemble size and abilities, and the need for musical variety, in order to select music to be performed.
